  • NATURAL DISASTER (DAM FAILURE): The catastrophic failure of the St. Francis Dam on March 12, 1928 released 12.4 billion gallons of water, killing 431 people. The disaster site was located within the districts of State Senator Joseph L. Pedrotti and Assemblyman James C. Crawford.
