Born: May 1, 1871 in Terre Haute, Indiana
Died: September 20, 1956 in California

1927-1931: Director, California State Department of Social Welfare

  • NOTE: One of the first women to serve in the Assembly in 1919. A former school principal, she eventually became involved in politics and in 1918 was elected along with three other women to the Assembly.
