Also following the assassination, Sacramento changed the name of East Park to McKinley Park. The highest mountain peak in North America was known as Mount McKinley (1917-2015) until it was renamed "Denali" by President Obama.
- US Currency: William McKinley appeared on a "Presidential $1 Coin" that was issued in 2013. McKinley also appeared on the $500 bill that was issued 1928-1934.
