1942-1952: Member, Sacramento City Council

  • FATHER OF THE CODE: Nielsen authored AB 1737 (1933), which established the California Military Code and also AB 710 (1935) which renamed that code the California Military and Veterans Code. Nielsen also authored SB 245 (1937) which established the Harbors and Navigation Code.
  • LEGISLATION: Author of AB 614 (Chapt. 403, Stats of 1931) "making an appropriation for painting portraits of Governors of California, and directing the State Department of Finance to carry out the provisions thereof." Thanks to Eric Thomsen for finding this one!
