  • PLACENAME: The Caldecott Tunnel in Berkeley is named for Caldecott's father, Thomas Edwin Caldecott who was on the Berkeley City Council (1923-1930), Mayor of Berkeley (1930-1932), and Alameda County Supervisor (1933-1951).
