Born: December 31, 1872 in Littleton, Massachusetts
Married: Mary C. Batchelder (in 1896).
Children: Catherine, Edward Jr., Charles K., Lawrence S., Willis, Stephen, Ferdinand T., Mary Louise, Eugene and Virginia
Died: October 15, 1955 in San Diego, CA

1915: Director, California-Panama Exposition

  • FATHER OF THE CODE: Fletcher and Hugh Burns authored SB 958 (1943), which established the California Government Code.
  • PLACENAME: "Fletcher Parkway" in La Mesa and "Fletcher Hills" in El Cajon are named for Fletcher. 
  • His children held a number of political offices; Charles became a member of Congress, Lawrence served as a Deputy District Attorney in Alameda County, and Willis was the Founding Director of the Lake Cuyamaca Recreation and Park District
  • Be Fruitful and Multiply: Fletcher had 10 children.
