  • LEGAL TROUBLES: D'Arcy was indicted in 1935 by a San Francisco Grand Jury for perjury after indicating on his voter registration form that he was born in New York, when he was actually born in Russia. In October 1939, Governor Culbert L. Olson signed an extradition order against D'Arcy related to a charge of false registration. He was found guilty in September 1941 and sentenced to five years probation.
