- IMPEACHMENT: On July 25, 2023, Speaker Kevin McCarthy indicated that, in response to allegations of political interference during a tax investigation of Hunter Biden, the House of Representatives might consider beginning an impeachment inquiry "which provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed."

- LEGISLATION: In June 2021, Biden signed legislation making Juneteenth a federal holiday.
- 2024 Election: On March 12, 2024, Biden obtained a majority of delegates, and became the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. The first debate of the 2024 presidential campaign was held on June 27, 2024, with Biden's performance receiving significant criticism. In an interview with George Stephanopoulos on July 6th, Biden confirmed that he would seek reelection unless he heard from God: "If the Lord Almighty comes down and tells me that, I might [step aside]..." On July 8, 2024, Biden sent a letter to Democrats in Congress saying "I can respond to all this by saying clearly and unequivocally: I wouldn't be running again if I did not absolutely beleive I was the best person to beat Donald Trump in 2024." On July 10th, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi said to MSNBC that “It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run... We’re all encouraging him to make that decision because the time is running short.” On July 17th, Biden said that he would only leave the 2024 race "[i]f I had some medical condition that emerged, if the doctors came to me and said you got this problem or that problem..." On July 21st, Biden withdrew from the contest, saying "...while it has always been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term."
