- PLACENAME: Voorhis Park at Cal Poly Pomona is named for Voorhis, as is Voorhis Elementary School in El Monte.

- PUBLISHED AUTHOR: Voorhis wrote Confessions of a Congressman, published by Doubleday in 1947.
