  • CLOSE CONTEST: Aguilar narrowly won a spot in the 2014 General election after defeating Leslie Gooch by 209 votes (0.4%) and Eloise Gomez Reyes by 781 votes (1.5%).
  • PARDON ME: He was pardoned by President Joe Biden on January 20, 2025 for "any offenses against the United States which they may have committeed or taken part in arising from or in any manner related to the activities or subject matter of the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol."
