- The distance between Collinsville and Oxford is about 7 miles. Based on the size of the two locations, it seems likely that he was born in Collinsville, but the birth was recorded in the nearby larger town of Oxford.
- His first name in official records was Christian, but he often used the name "Chris" which has resulted in a number of sources using the name "Christopher"
