1968-1976: Member, Orange County Board of Supervisors
1974: Primary Candidate for Lieutenant Governor (Lost)

  • In August 1975, Battin was convicted with illegally using Orange County staff for his campaign to become Lieutenant Governor in 1974. He was fined $5,000, lost his office and spent 30 days in jail.
