- The city of Deming [New Mexico] is named after Mary Crocker
- Crocker was also the owner and founder of Crocker National Bank. It was a Crocker bank branch in Carmichael that was robbed by the Symbionese Liberation Army including Patty Hearst (great-granddaughter of George Hearst) in 1975. Interestingly, Hearst and Crocker served in the Assembly only five years apart.
