- Some sources report that Lambourn was born in Kentucky (where he was baptised in 1840), but when Halley interviewed him while in office, he reported his birthplace as England.
- Be Fruitful and Multiply: Lambourn had nine children.
- Lambourn's first wife Maria was of the Duarte family that the city of Duarte is named for.
