Fulco was murdered in his home on the evening of May 18th by Michael Kirby Rice (born 1/27/1959) shortly before Rice killed himself. Rice was dating Fulco's former girlfriend (who was also the mother of Fulco's son).

Fulco was the nephew of Reverend William J. Fulco, who reconstructed the ancient Aramaic language for the movie "The Passion of the Christ"
