- PLACENAME: The City of Stanton in Orange County was first incorporated from 1911-1924, and later from 1956 to the present. The City is named after Speaker Stanton, who assisted in the incorporation of the city.
- LEGISLATION: Author (with Senator Leroy Wright) of the Wright-Stanton Direct Primary bill (1909) which transferred the power of political parties to nominate candidates for partisan office from party nominating conventions to the primary election voters of each party.
