- CLOSE CONTEST: During the 2018 Primary, Dan Kalb ended Election Night leading third-place challenger Jovanka Beckles by 182 votes. Four days later, on June 9th, Beckles pulled ahead by 284 votes. By June 11th, Kalb was again in the lead, this time by 575 votes. The lead grew to 793 on June 11th. On June 13th, Beckles regained the second-place position, with 295 vote lead over Kalb. On June 14th, Kalb conceded the election. The final vote count saw Beckles win by 726 votes.
- CLOSE CONTEST: In the March 2024 Primary, Kalb led Jovanka Beckles by 1300 votes (1.3%) as of March 10th. On March 11th, Beckles took second place by about 200 votes (0.2%) over Kalb.
