- LEGISLATION: Author of AB 459 (Chapt. 188, Stats of 2011) which provided California's ratification of the "Agreement Among the States to Elect the President by National Popular Vote". The Agreement would only take effect if states "cumulatively possessing a majority of the total electoral votes have ratified the compact."
- According to a Capitol Weekly article; "[Hill] registered as a Republican to support Rep. Pete McCloskey's anti-war challenge to Richard Nixon in 1972. Hill didn't change his registration back to the Democratic Party until 2003." [article]
