  • PLACENAME: The Tickle Pink Inn (in Carmel) was named for the home of Sentor Tickle, which had previously stood on the site. From the Inn's website; "On the site where our spectacular property stands was once the home of State Senator Edward and Mrs. Bess Tickle. Mrs. Tickle, a great lover of flowers and of pink flowers in particular, named their hillside stone cottage ‘Tickle Pink.’ The enchanting stone cottage is gone, but the name and its traditions happily remain."
